Somehow one dalek is seriously scarier than lots. You believed it could have killed everyone on earth. Or I did. And finally we find out what all those balls on the lower portions of a dalek are for.

Gah -- don't give it away! The DVD is in the post! I have seen up to episode 4 now. Gatiss inferior to Davies. But then we have Moffat's episodes still to come…

It came at last. You know, I still prefer Russell T. Davies's episodes to anyone else's. "Dalek" was scary, but it did give in to the old sci-fi tendency to moralize. And the American accents were rubbish, I tell you.
